Gerry lives in north County Dublin and is the founder of PBC Ireland, a support group created to address the lack of Ireland-specific information and resources for people living with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC).
PBC Ireland aims to connect patients across Ireland, share relevant news and treatment updates, and provide support that reflects the realities of living with PBC in the Irish healthcare system. With healthcare systems varying widely from country to country, having a group tailored to Ireland helps fill a critical gap in localized support and advocacy. We will liaise with pharmaceutical companies, the HSE and other healthcare agencies on behalf of the PBC community in Ireland.
In addition to establishing PBC Ireland, Gerry also leads two rare disease IT companies, CLIRINX (clinical research software) and CRID (clinical research ID), which focus on neurological disorders.

Alexandra is an experienced Research and Insights Consultant with a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research across healthcare, consumer, and social impact sectors. She has led research projects for organisations such as The Wheel, Spark Market Research, and Prohibition Partners. She has a particular interest in patient experience, inclusion, and evidence-led advocacy. Based in North Co. Dublin, Alexandra brings valuable skills in survey design, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to the PBC Ireland Patient Registry project.
Alexandra is also available to assist anyone who would like support in completing the PBC patient registry forms. Whether by phone or video call, she's happy to help make the process as easy and comfortable as possible.

Always looking for PBC volunteers!
